Hands-on STEAM learning through VEX Robotics competitions
CanSTEAM Foundation provides equitable access to quality STEAM education through VEX Robotics competition programs. We support students across Ontario with equipment, mentorship, and organized competition pathways from local qualifiers to provincial championships.
VEX IQ Competition
Grades 3-8 (Ages 8-14)
VEX IQ introduces younger students to robotics and STEAM through a snap-together building system. Teams design, build, and program robots to compete in alliance-based challenges that emphasize teamwork and creative problem-solving.

VEX V5RC
Grades 7-12 (Ages 12-18)
VEX V5RC challenges older students with metal construction, advanced programming, and sophisticated game strategies. Teams develop technical skills alongside project management and documentation practices.

STEAM Grants & Equipment
We believe cost should never be a barrier to STEAM education. CanSTEAM provides grants and free VEX robotics kits to underserved schools and community organizations across Ontario.
